  Wintersun is undoubtedly a top park, we were guided into our bay by one of the staff who quite obviously knows his stuff. Hot beef rolls with gravy, salads plus a icecream for dinner for $15 per head was a bonus . Camp kitchen is great, ablutions very clean , park in general is very tidy. There is a bowling green attached which my husband appreciated. Will be back again.

  Quite disappointed with my interaction with Wintersun, although we did not actually end up staying there. We were meant to arrive in Carnarvon in the evening, so we called ahead that afternoon to book a site here. They told us there were definitely spots available, and took our credit card number, as we were expecting to arrive after the office would be closed. A few hours later, we realized we weren't making great time, and it probably wasn't realistic to make it to Carnarvon that evening after all. So I called back to cancel our booking. From that conversation, I was left with the impression that they understood our situation, and that the booking would be cancelled (and refunded) no problem. Unfortunately, we were in fact charged for the night that we did not spend there. I was unable to resolve this by speaking with the Caravan Park and explaining what had happened, and that I was not told either at the time of booking or at the time of cancellation that there would be no refunds available.
